Restaurante 'La Jaiba Borracha' is a hidden gem along the serene shores of Laguna Milagros in Huay-Pix, Mexico. Known for its exquisite seafood offerings, this charming eatery promises both delicious food and breathtaking views. Diners have raved about the remarkable freshness of the fish, as highlighted by Gary Mac's experience with his fish fillet served with Al mojo de ajo — a savory garlic sauce that complements the dish beautifully. His wife's a la pilpil option, with its spicy batter reminiscent of classic fish and chips, is another favorite. The restaurant's ambiance is enhanced by the picturesque sunset views, making each meal an enchanting experience. Prune Tamaris noted the delightful food, although service could improve. Adventurous palates will also appreciate Daniel Amyx's praise for the Shrimp Empanadas and hearty octopus meals. Meanwhile, José Tomás Aquino Carvajal recommends matching the fried fish with a local Caguamon beer to elevate the dining experience. While a few customers have faced minor hiccups, like credit card issues, the overall sentiment swings towards a joyful experience. From azure waters where kids can frolic to the comforting dishes served, Restaurante 'La Jaiba Borracha' emerges as a must-visit destination for seafood lovers and tranquility seekers alike.

Amazing fish restaurant right on the water, with views to die for. My wife and I had fish fillet, mines with Al mojo de ajo (a dark and tasty garlic sauce), which was incredible. A LOT of fillet and super tasty. My wife had the a la pilpil, which was done in a spicy batter, very much like regular fish and chips. The fish itself was incredibly fresh and tasty. We daytripped here from Bacalar and it was much quieter and laid back. Our kids just jumped of the jetty into the azure water for an hour, leaving us in piece to eat! Bonus. Cold beers served with mile and chips as a free side snack. Amazing.

Nice little place on the Laguna Milagros. The Shrimp Empanadas were awesome. My wife had some Pulpo (octopus) meal that was fantastic. They have a credit card machine but seem not to be able to take credit cards, Very strange and suspicious.

Magnifique place! Very good food, delicious. Beautiful sunsets. By the way the service wasn't the best. But for sure I'll be back :-)

I recommend this place; the food is good. You can pair the fried fish with a caguamon beer while enjoying a beautiful view of Laguna Milagros. You can charge for your food and drinks.

Great crab with garlic sauce. 300 pesos for enough to feed 5. The seafood fra Diablo with cream was also very good. The tables are right on the lake and there is a dock that you can jump off into the water.

Has unique specialties of this area, as well as the fresh water crabs (jaiba) on the menu. Views and cool breeze were very nice.
